Creative Stretching

So I began to realize that even though I spend most of my days designing for my employer, I still need time to flex my creativity. Yes, I am paid to be creative, however its under a restraint; versus when I am on my own. Through conversation with my peers and even some strangers, I learned that some people tend to get stuck only using their skills for work, forgetting to enjoy themselves outside of it. This brought about the photo walks (suggested by my friend). Even if its for a hour or so after work, I try to go on photo walks with my friends and find something interesting to shoot with my camera. Something I can edit, manipulate, and basically express it however I feel while still finding time to keep in contact with those I care about. These exercises have become therapeutic and something I look forward to. As a result, it caused me to challenge myself to post something creative everyday on my Instagram page in attempt to turn something that was mostly leisure and superficial, into an album of creativity and another form of exposure.
